Autel MS310 GREAT TOOL!!
I was expericing a check engine light on my 2000 Toyota Avalon and needed to read the code. My brother-in-law is in the auto repair business and suggested that I purchase a unit from Autel, he had the 309 version and this unit is the 310. The only difference between them is the case color. The 309 case is gray and the 310 is red.
This unit is well worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a professional tool at an affordable price.
The only item I would have liked is a longer cord so that I could put the unit on the passenger's seat while driving as it will collect data in real time for those stubbon problems. The 309 is still available and is supported by Autel US for softwatre updates. Autel US does not offer the 310 nor any updates but you will be able to get the updates and full product information on the MS310 from [...]
Have fun, BTW I fixed the Avalon,clogged fuel injectors.

Used it on a PT cruiser and Subaru to diagnose the check engine light. Was right on, with code and description of trouble. Easy to clear codes also. Paid for itself first time I used it.

I used this code reader on a 2005 Kia Rio. The only indication something was wrong with my car (Other than the check engine light) was a temp. gauge that showed my engine to be warming up a lot slower than normal. The Autel code reader gave me a code, plus three possible options as to what the problem might be. I took the code and went into my Kia maintenance manual, which showed the exact problem to be a thermostat stuck open. I replaced the thermostat and the check engine light went off and the temp. gauge showed my engine to be heating up normally again. This code reader took the guess out of what the problem might be.

I got the Autel OBDII scanner because I have an older car and occasionally get check engine lights. I read the codes and cleared without even reading the doc. When I get a minute I will check out the other features.
It Even Does Live Data Stream.
Works great on my 2002 Lincoln LS and 2003 Mustang. It even does live data which only more expensive units only do.

the Autel 310 is a handy little scan tool with BIG features! it will scan all OBII codes AND CAN codes as well. it will also tell you which protocol you are using! Great feature when you are smogging a car and need to know if you can get a RPM signal through the 16 pin port! it will also tell you the code definition and the manufacture specific code definition as well. it is updatable also. comes with a cd and update cable. it shows you data also (didnt i tell you BIG FEATURES!!!). long term and short term fuel trim, tps iac iat cts rpm are just a few! i like this so much, i bought two. one for my work(smog technician)and one for my home. highly recommend this!!

This thing is great! Does the same thing my friend's scanner does, but he paid $150.00 for his.
Reads codes very fast. Displays the possible trouble. Excellent buy. Ordered the other one but found out it has lead in the cable. This one doesn't.

easy to use. Menus are a little hard to navigate through. Gives you online data. I used it on a older model so the computer didn't display much data. It is able to reset service codes. I originally bought to reset the service light but thats not what these units are for. to reset service light do a internet search (typically odometer brake pedal and ignition in postion 2). Liked the unit can't beat the price
